The Duke and Duchess in Cambridge is a fantastic spot, especially during the holiday season! Their beef dip is absolutely delicious—definitely one of the best I’ve had. The staff are incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home, and the Christmas decorations add a warm and festive touch to the atmosphere. It’s a beautifully decorated space that perfectly captures the holiday spirit. Highly recommend stopping by for great food and an inviting experience!
We had a butter chicken and a shepherd's pie and the meals were excellent. The sticky toffee pudding was a great dessert. The food was a bit on the expensive side but definitely worth every penny. Will be coming back for more.
Went here Jan the 7th first time. I found out about it through a friend. It is a larger version of the Fiddle and Firkin. It certainly has the British look and appeal. My temporary waitress Faith, was doing the bar that night but came over to get me set up. Man she is gorgeous!!! I had the fish and chips. About a 20 minute wait but worth it. Tasted great. The place was about 50% full on a Monday night. I'll bet the weekends are really busy? I enjoyed my time here and will be coming back. I've never been to Britain but this pub gives you a first hand view of what it is like.

Nice friendly pub, live music on a Saturday night, Swiss mushrooms Burger was delicious, the Drke fries were a nice upgrade. The only thing I could suggest is the washrooms could use a refresh. Cheers
I was back in Cambridge to meet up with my friends and catch the Leafs game. The guys like to go to the Dutch and Dutchess, now I know why. This is a great place to get together will friends to catch a game and not be afraid of making too much noise. The restaurant is wide open with lots of tables, large TVs, a small bar, outdoor tables and lots of soccer scarves adorning the walls. The interior is not too fancy and has a casual vibe so it is perfect to have a good time, a date night but not really romantic if that is what you are looking for. I have been wanting to come to check out the restaurant for some time after taking a look at their menu online. The restaurant has a great selection to meet anyone's tastes and boasts a really good selection of authentic British dishes, all at very good prices. I went with the ribs that were the special that night and was able to switch up to rice from the fries at no extra cost. A full rack of ribs for 20 dollars, you can't go wrong and they were fall-off-the-bone. I was tempted by the butter chicken dinner but I will have to try it next time for sure. They also had a good selection of varied beers on tap plus some British selections, again all at a very good price - 5.75 for a 20 0z draft or bottled beer. Our server, Sarah, was fantastic as our group filtered in slowly and took my food and drink order shortly after I arrived. She was very polite, knew the menu inside and out, was very attentive while we were there and had a smile the whole time. The restaurant is very accessible with really no steps, only one to get up to the bar and a lowered curb at the entrance. There is lots of parking and it is conveniently located right near with 401 so great for me since I am from out of town. I very much enjoyed my experience at the Duke and Dutchess and intend to come back to sample many more of the dishes on the menu. Thanks again Sarah and crew.
After viewing the menu before or trip we decided it was a still we had to make for the shepherds pie-tine for my wife and I had the full Scottish breakfast. Both were outstanding! Beautiful on the inside and staff was very friendly and made sure we had a very enjoyable time.
